CARE APPOINTS CANADIAN PROFESSIONAL AFFAIRS MANAGER
- Dr. Gary Gimpel to Manage Professional Affairs in
Canada -
TORONTO, ON – January XX, 2005 – Johnson & Johnson
Vision Care, a Division of Johnson & Johnson, Inc. and manufacturer
of the ACUVUE® Brand family of contact lenses, recently announced
the appointment of Dr. Gary Gimpel to the position of Manager, Professional
Affairs Canada. In this newly created position, Dr. Gimpel’s
primary duty will be to function as Johnson & Johnson Vision
Care’s liaison with the professional and educational eye care
communities in Canada. Dr. Gimpel will also consult on the development
of professional support programs and materials, oversee clinical
relations activities and support field-based activities for Johnson
& Johnson Vision Care Canada.

Dr. Gimpel is an examiner for the Canadian National Board of Examiners
and is currently a member of the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care
Advisory Panel. He graduated from the Witwatersrand School of Optometry
in South Africa in 1987 and, after immigrating to Canada in May
1989, completed the Doctorate of Optometry program at the University
of Waterloo. Dr. Gimpel has a very successful Contact Lens, Geriatric
and Paediatric practice in a high profile, multi-doctor office in
Markham, Ontario.
